Privacy policy

What we collect

Good Outings has no accounts, no sign-up and no analytics or advertising trackers, and it does not set cookies. We don't sell or share personal information.

What stays on your device

The site uses your browser's local storage for three things, and they never leave your device: go_saved (outings you save with the heart button), go_recent (the county guides you viewed recently, so the home page can link back to them) and go-theme (your light or dark mode choice). You can clear them any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Searches

Searching by outing, city or zip runs in your browser using data files served from our own site. Your search text is not sent to us or to anyone else. Listing locations were looked up ahead of time with the US Census Geocoder (and OpenStreetMap Nominatim as a fallback) when the site was built, so those services never see your visit or your searches.

Hosting and maps

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard web request data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, in order to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for how it handles that data.

Pages with a map load map tiles from OpenStreetMap's tile servers, so OpenStreetMap receives your IP address and the map area being shown. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation's privacy policy.

Each listing links to the venue's or organizer's own website. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies.

Email

If you email us, for example at support@goodoutings.com, we use your email address and message only to reply to you.

Do Not Track

We don't track you across sites or over time, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to switch off. The site works the same whether or not your browser sends one.

Children

Good Outings is a general-audience guide and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top.
